History of MC Aquatics
MC Aquatics was founded in 2015 by Michael and Charlie Whife, a father and son duo with a passion for tropical fish.
Their passion pre-dates the company’s founding by a few decades. Michael started his journey in the early 2000s breeding and selling tropical fish to local fish stores as a hobby.
In 2007, Michael and his family immigrated to the US where he would focus on starting a global Marketing Technology company, Selling Simplified (SSG), all the while owning and breeding fish in his spare time.
After the company’s sale in 2022, Michael and Charlie decided to elevate their passion from a hobby to a business. They purchased Fish Safari in Virginia Beach, Exotic Aquariums in Miami, and opened a brand new store in Denver, the likes of which the midwest has never seen before.
Later that year, Fish R Us in Conroe, Texas joined the MC Aquatics family. Today, we have stores in 5 states and counting!
Our goal is to bring our passion and dedication for fish keeping into your home and share our knowledge on how to properly care for and provide a happy, healthy environment for your fish. We hope that by doing so, we can prolong the life of your aquatic companions, and make a positive impact on our environment by advocating for humane fish care and environmental efforts.
